The college was established in the year 1970 as an affiliated college. In the year 1970, it became a constituent unit of B.R.A. Bihar University, Muzaffarpur. It is imparting teaching up to Hons level in both Science and Arts faculties. Besides traditional subjects teaching vocational courses like B.C.A. and Tour and Travel Management is also taught in this college.
